FediVision 2024 Has Begun!

Everyone's favorite music contest returns!

It’s that time of the year for something truly wonderful: FediVision, the Fediverse’s annual music contest, is back, and accepting submissions from May 5th to May 12th.

The Fedivision song contest is ON!

What is Fedivision? We are a light-hearted musical competition among amateur musicians on the Fediverse. You can submit one original unreleased piece < 4 minutes long in any genre. In May 2024, we will listen to all the entries and the fediverse votes on the best song!

Now in its fourth year, we have a brand new dedicated instance. Please follow this account to be kept informed. PLEASE BOOST this post so that all your musician friends get the word.

Fedivision 2024 Announcement

This is an opportunity to create an original piece of music, either as an original effort or as a collaboration, and showcase the result. Radio Free Fedi will be running a dedicated stream channel on their site to showcase the contest entries, making it easy for everyone to listen in and hear all the submissions.

Contest Rules

The rules for submitting a song to the contest are simple:

  1. One person who holds an account in the Fediverse can enter one song. All servers blocked by fedi.vision are excluded.
  2. The song has to be freshly created for Fedivision and be previously unpublished.
  3. The song should not exceed 4 minutes.
  4. Refrain from topics that are not allowed on most servers: No racism, sexism, hate towards trans and homosexual people and other marginalized groups.
  5. Collaborations are allowed, but every person may only enter one song.
  6. You have until Sunday 12 May 2024 to enter your song via our form below. The link must be a download link so we can host your entry.
  7. Choose a fictional group, faction or country to represent. Please be creative and have fun!

We can’t wait to hear what the community comes up with! We will showcase the finalists after the contest closes on May 19th. For now, you can follow the official FediVision account for announcements.
